Do's!
- Use Microwave-safe Containers.
Check your containers or dinnerware for the microwave-safe symbol or label before usage. - Keep food partially covered.
Cover food while leaving a vent for moisture to escape to make cleaning up easy. - Clean Microwave Regularly.
Wipe down the inner surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent to keep your microwave running properly, while ensuring hygiene and safety.
Don’ts!
- Use metal objects
This includes aluminum foil, forks and spoons, cup and dinnerware. - Heat uncracked eggs, whole fruits etc
Foods with a hard outer layer that don’t allow moisture to escape should not be microwaved. - Use disposable plastic containers or cutlery.
Single-use plastic can melt and leak harmful chemicals into your food.
